🌿 Why I Created the Woodland Enchantment Collection

A love letter to sensitive skin, forest magic, and intentional ritual.

When I started Iris Dahlia Apothecary, it was with one purpose in mind: to create gentle, effective, and meaningful self-care for people like me—those of us who’ve struggled with sensitive skin, mystery flare-ups, redness, or rosacea and felt like nothing on the shelves truly understood us.

The Woodland Enchantment Collection was born from that need. Not just for calm skin—but for a calming experience.

🍃 My Journey with Sensitive Skin

I’ve dealt with eczema, psoriasis, and reactive skin for most of my life. It always felt like I had to choose between skincare that worked and skincare that didn’t hurt. Everything was either too harsh or too heavy, full of synthetic ingredients or empty promises.

So I turned back to nature.

I began researching traditional herbal remedies—calendula for calming, chamomile for soothing, rose for gentle hydration, colloidal oatmeal for comfort. These weren’t just “trendy” ingredients; they were time-honored tools used by generations before us to heal without harm.

I tested every product in this collection on my own skin. And only when it passed my standard for comfort, softness, and simplicity, did I feel ready to share it.
